Amen is an American television sitcom produced by Carson Productions that ran from September 27, 1986 to May 11, 1991 on NBC. Amen, starring Sherman Hemsley as the deacon of a Philadelphia church, was part of a wave of successful African American sitcoms on NBC in the 1980s which featured entirely or almost-entirely Black casts. Others included The Cosby Show, A Different World, and 227.

he series starred Sherman Hemsley (of The Jeffersons and All in the Family fame) as Deacon Ernest Frye, of the First Community Church of Philadelphia. Deacon Frye was often dishonest and frequently got into trouble with his many harebrained schemes. Anna Maria Horsford played Deacon Frye's thirty-seven-year-old spinster daughter, Thelma Frye. Reverend Rueben Gregory, played by Clifton Davis, was the new, young Pastor of The First Community Church, and also the object of Thelma's affection. The two eventually married during the fourth season, despite the fact that the Reverend and Deacon often butted heads. In the last episode in 1991, Thelma gave birth to a child.

The cast also included Jester Hairston as senior citizen Rolly Forbes, who often acted as the voice-of-reason. Davis and Hairston had previously worked together, playing Clifton and Wildcat on the 1970s sitcom That's My Mama. The show also starred comedian Roz Ryan and Barbara Montgomery as Amelia and Cassietta Hetebrink, a pair of chattering sisters at the church. Also appearing on the show was Leola Henderson (played by Rosetta LeNoire), Rolly's love interest and eventual wife. After portraying Leola Forbes for two seasons, LeNoire left the show to star in the hugely successful sitcom, Family Matters as Grandma 'Mother' Estelle Winslow. Jester Hairston once played a guest role on Family Matters. LeNoire was replaced by Montrose Hagins who played the character from 1989 until the series' end in 1991.

If we don't allocate for it when creating our graphics, then the ending end result is a crafty stretch or squash horizontally of the image. It turns out that for NTSC, if you create your graphics at 640x480 and then stretch them up to 720x480, it gets resquashed in return to the new mass by the DVD player on a natural box. (For PAL it's 784x576 near be alive squashed instead than stretched). Amen DVD Collection. The Complete Collection of the hit TV Series on DVD. complete dvd box set series on DVDs It's important to create your graphics at the right size and then re-size them for DVD encoding to get ready/repair the part ratio - regardless if it's static images from powerpoint, photoshop, GIMP etc, vigorous graphics from Camtasia, Camstudio or one of the many 3D vivaciousness programs like get an A on 3D, Blender, Maya etc. The next blunder (and the one.

that is the most common senses for distorted or rough graphics) is using the dishonest dvd encoder. Amen DVD Collection. The Complete Collection of the hit TV Series on DVD. DVD's hoard their movies (metaphors are movies by means of 1 outline! mpg arrangement. Most of the "cut-rate" commercial mpg encoders that are included in entry level Video Editing Software, are configured to hold moving video images that have clatter, distortions and constantly untrustworthy feature quality. Whilst this is great for getting video camera copy onto DVD, these optimisations for video camera record do terrible things to the graphics - especially all over the edges of things like manuscript and appearance.

Unless you're video suppression software has analytical restrict over it's mpg encoder element, you're going to have to use a break away piece of software to do the encoding. If you've got a big steal then you can purchase high end mpg/dvd encoder programs like Canopus ProCoder and Sonic Scenarist, but for those of you on tough budget length's Encoder does a great . job of producing the cold and damp mpg files arranged to be authored onto DVD. (You'll also need Avisynth as well to nourish into the encoder)The decisive error (and one that is less of a problem on LCD and Plasma TV's) is meager paint assortment. A avant-garde computer overseer has a much wider and even influence scale than a tube does.

In organization to look trustworthy on a small screen, some dye tweak is needed. The two chief adjustments are in the direction of:-cut the shade infiltration. The red cannon in older TV's used to be a bit stronger than the immature and indigo ones, because of a problem with the initial video cameras and the encoding of the hint at. Even now a little compensation is built into TV's so a affront discount in the amount of red in an image is needed, otherwise optimistic red tends to be "too" happy and spills over giving a indistinct effect. the whole Gamma wants to be stirred upbeat to a propos 2.

The brightness of an representation needs increasing in j.
